This was my first project for 2nd grade. They learned about warm and cool colors and then all together we drew sunsets. They traced them with sharpies and then colored them with water color crayons. Finally, they used water and to create water color paintings. What is your favorite color project?
So this was suppose to turn out like
. I am sure you have seen something like this on Pinterest. Well I put my own spin on it they had to tell me about themselves using only images and a few words. If I do this again I really need to over emphasize the curved line so when they come together they make better circles. Here are some close ups.

First grade started with a review of different types of lines then they had to draw 5 different types of lines and trace with sharpies. They had the challenge of coloring each shape they made with different colors. We also talked about how to color, making sure to use bumpers and go in one directions. What is your favorite thing to do with 1st grade?
Finally my DIY I made my own halloween potion bottles. The green one and the tall black one were from Michael's. They were 70% off and one was blue and one was white with this kind if matte texture to them. I hand painted them with black and green then took gold and dry brushed it on with a sponge. The labels were from some blog on Pinterest. Sorry I don't remember where I found them. The other bottle was from an old peanut butter container and I did the same to that then used silver instead of gold but I think was a little to heavy handed with the silver. Overall I love them I am hoping to make more.
Talk to you soon!!!
